Welcome To The New Zealand Orchid Society

Welcome to the New Zealand Orchid Society. We are the oldest orchid society in New Zealand. The club was established in 1948, and our society has been dedicated to the appreciation, preservation, and cultivation of orchids for over 70 years.

We are proud to service the central Auckland area and invite anyone with a passion for orchids to join our community. Our regular monthly meetings provide an opportunity to learn from fellow orchid enthusiasts and participate in our judging panel. Additionally, we host four orchid shows throughout the year, showcasing the beauty and diversity of these stunning plants.

If you’re new to growing orchids, have questions about orchid growing, or are a seasoned orchid grower, our society is the perfect place for you. Collectively our members have a wealth of knowledge and are always eager to help where they can.

We believe that the joy of orchids is meant to be shared, and we welcome anyone with interest in orchids to come and join us.
